This project began in 2019 with a series of “Shadow Collages”. I didn’t know it at the time but it was my way of processing my grief after a very significant loss. When working with my collection of found photographs, I like to first imagine the person behind the lens and the love they felt for their subjects, then I lovingly re-imagine the spaces they inhabit. I treat my collection of strangers with respect and care, aiming to elevate, rather than deface, the original images.
